LC boss caned over corruption

Residents of Kiramba village in Kanoni sub-county, Mpigi, May 9, disciplined their LC-I finance secretary, Richard Baghala, by caning him for failure to account for the development funds from the sub-county.
Kihinda Patrick, the LC-I information secretary confirmed the punishment, saying his colleague was given five strokes before the village council.
Baghala apologised, saying he had used the money for a friend's wedding. He however retained his post.
