Wife: 'I prayed and he spared me'
Robber gets jail and Rotan
ALOR STAR, Tues. -- A housewife, Ng Ah Boey, 42, pleaded with a robber not to rape her, the Kedah Assize Court was told today.
"I begged for mercy and he let me go," Ng said at the trial of Jusoh bin Incheh, a tapper, charged with robbing and causing her hurt at Kampong Simpang Tiga, Gurun, on Nov. 30 last.
Mr. Justice Hill sentenced Jusoh to five years' jail and 12 strokes of the Rotan.
Ng said she was cycling alone when Jusoh stopped her and asked for her identity card.
"I refused to show it and he slapped my face several times," she said.
"He threatened me with a knife and took three gold ornaments which I had in my pocket. I was about to ride away when he molested me and demanded that I submit to him."
Jusoh's defence was an alibi.
