LUCEA, Hr. April 19 (From our Correspondent) -- [...] James Samuels, 19, labourer, pleaded guilty to larceny of two coconuts valued at sixpence. He was given 10 days hard labour with six strokes of the tamarind switch. Thomas Wilmoth, 41, labourer, for larceny of three sugar canes worth 6d was given ten days and ordered to receive eight strokes of the tamarind switch. [...] |
