Stole Water Cistern Valves
A 19-year-old apprentice electrician, Wong Leung, was ordered 10 strokes of the cane by Mr Wicks at Kowloon yesterday when he pleaded guilty to stealing three water cistern valves worth $30.
According to the Police, defendant was seen descending the stairs of No. 5 Granville Road in a suspicious manner. He had a spanner in his hand and his pockets were bulging. He was stopped and questioned and when he attempted to escape was intercepted by a Police constable. The valves were found in his pockets and he admitted stealing them from roof-tops.
